Aisha Oyedeji
Aisha Oyedeji is a passionate and determined student who stepped into the foundation course aiming to progress greatly throughout the year. Her efforts can be seen through her understanding of fashion and creative design. Oyedeji aims to tell a story through fashion, encouraging people to read between the lines. Her Final Major Project, “Looking at Female Practitioners” focuses on combating the prevalent issue within society today of overlooking female practitioners. Throughout this project, she showcases both concepts of the overlooking of female practitioners whilst also drawing attention to female practitioners who were never given the rightful credit to their achievements in some way, shape and form. She communicates this through, fabric, material, and texture — every material and idea purposefully chosen to effectively communicate her concept.
Oyedeji's work also feature her Sustainable White Project concept, showcasing her concept surrounding her childhood with the objective of only using sustainable materials. Oyedeji is now progressing to a BA (Hons) course in Fashion design to utilise her learning and further progress within design.
