He values collaboration and believes the best ideas are born from shared perspectives and open dialogue. Beyond his work, Asim is a keen observer of culture and design history, often drawing inspiration from unexpected sources. He sees design not just as a profession, but as a way of seeing and engaging with the world.

Thoughtful, versatile, and quietly ambitious, he continues to evolve his practice while remaining grounded in his core beliefs.

“Link” Final Major Project – “Link” is a ligature specimen that dives into the world of ligatures. For centuries we have seen the ampersand used in various formats to this day however, Javed wanted to dive deeper and create new ligatures which would replace the most commonly used phrases in the 21st century such as “LMK” - “Let me know”, “IKR” - “I know right”. This specimen showcases the concept of implementing ligatures into our daily lives for efficiency and legibility as the Roman scribes did.

A part of the brief was to create something that represented the designers themselves. Javed chose to represent himself through a music video directed for a Pakistani artist, Maanu. He was able to not only showcase his vision as a director and a designer but also showcase his culture through music. The story line shows the process of a person designing the title card by hand however, he keeps losing interest and lacks ideas. This directly visually represents the lyrics of the song as it is in Urdu and to communicate with a wider audience, it had to be visually strong.
