Axel Ward

Axel Ward is an aspiring illustrator and storyteller based in South East London who has recently completed their Foundation Diploma in Visual Communication Design at Ravensbourne University London and will be completing a BA (Hons) in Illustration at University of the Arts London, Camberwell School of Art, in the following year.

Ward leverages their background in english literature and art to craft compelling illustrated narratives, driven by a passion for storytelling and a goal to one day share their creations with the world as an author-illustrator. Ward's illustrative style utilises bold and experimental shape language and intricate compositions to bring narratives to life. The versatility in Ward’s style allows them to explore a wide range of themes and stories, each with its own unique visual identity.

With a keen eye for symbolism and detail in their illustrations, Ward’s artwork is characterised by its emotional depth and visual storytelling ability, drawing viewers into the worlds they create.
