Dani Braithwaite
Dani Braithwaite is a creative and hands-on Computer Science graduate with a strong interest in web development, AI, and emerging tech. Over the course of their degree, Braithwaite worked on a range of technical and creative projects; from training facial recognition models and experimenting with real-time AR overlays to designing accessible, visually engaging websites. They’ve used tools like Python, JavaScript, Flask, TensorFlow, and React, and take pride in writing clean, easy-to-understand code that solves real problems.
For their Final Year Project, Braithwaite built a system that combined YOLO-based facial landmark detection with a front-end AR try-on experience, blending research and innovation with practical design. It’s this mix of creativity and problem-solving that drives Braithwaite’s approach to tech.
Outside of university, Braithwaite runs two personal brands: a fashion line built around humour and self-expression, and a tech venture exploring personalised digital experiences. Both projects reflect their passion for making things that are both useful and fun.
Now finished with university, Braithwaite is excited to take the next step, whether that’s joining a creative team, working on bold new ideas, or helping build the future of tech, one project at a time.
