Gabrielle Anais Brimley

Gabrielle Anais Brimley drew inspiration from Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons for their final collection, captivated by how the composer evokes the atmosphere and emotion of each season. They aimed to translate the energy and mood of his music into dramatic, expressive designs that reflect nature’s ever-changing beauty.

The Summer look reflects the dual nature of the season, the vibrant blossoming of life contrasted with the fierce power of summer storms. Brimley explored the heat and unpredictability of thunderstorms through bold, dynamic design, balanced with bright, joyful colours inspired by flourishing flowers. The silhouette was crafted to deliver a powerful impact, embodying both the vitality and the sudden atmospheric shifts of summer.

For Spring, Brimley embraced the season’s sense of renewal and awakening. A palette of whites was used to symbolise new beginnings, purity, and freshness. Inspired by the structured elegance of 18th-century jackets, Brimley modernised historical silhouettes to create a fresh, dynamic look. Dramatic elements within the design ensured that the softness and optimism of spring were captured alongside a strong, contemporary impact.

For Winter, Brimley was inspired by the stark, haunting beauty of the season. Influenced by gothic ice crystals, they created structured, architectural silhouettes that evoke dark elegance and frozen fragility. Drawing inspiration from Vivaldi’s Winter concerto, where sharp musical passages depict icy winds and treacherous landscapes, Brimley used fabric manipulation, detailed beading work and sculptural tailoring to mirror that same intensity and harsh beauty.
