Harriet Power

Harriet Power is a strategic designer who is interested in design for change and has a passion for sport. Due to her outgoing nature, she has taken on many opportunities throughout her three years at Ravensbourne University London.

A couple of Power's highlights include being selected to take part in the Chicago Cultural Exchange with the Obama Foundation, designing a purpose-led KitKat, in her first year. Which lead her to being flown out to Chicago to take part in the project. She also entered a couple of design award competitions and later won a D&AD New Blood Pencil in her second year with her good friend Charlie P. Jones, for their entry "Airbnb Community". This led her to opportunities to intern at leading studios such as JKR and Sky Creative. She concluded her time at Ravensbourne University London by winning another D&AD Newblood Pencil, with Jones, for their project "Voices From Afghanistan".

Design for change is something that has always excited Power. She is passionate about creating work that benefits the planet and its people, and she hopes to one day make this her reality, using her design skills for the better.

Aside from this, she has a strong passion for typography. To celebrate this, she created the brand @type.places, which showcases typography that inspires her while exploring London or new cities. She also really enjoys print. Combining her love for typography and print, she has designed and illustrated a map of Columbia Road.
