Henry Hoppe is a sustainable menswear designer, carefully crafting slow, organic, tailored garments with an emphasis on extensive hand work. Decontextualising found textiles into wearable artefacts is a through current of his work. The most recent collection, entitled Mottainai, combines mainly antique, handwoven Japanese kimono fabrics, into comfortable and luxurious pieces, taking inspiration from 19th century historical pattern-cutting.
