Ines Cryer
Ines Cryer is a London based fashion storyteller, specialising in styling and fashion photography. Her work explores themes of womanhood and aims to empower and celebrate all aspects of femininity. In this project, Cryer has explored the ways the female form is presented and displayed in media, focusing on female liberation and what it means to be an empowered woman. Her magazine, “Aphrodesia”, aims to represent different women and their own ideas of female liberation, while also challenging traditional “male gaze” focused uses of the female form.
Through her lens, Cryer crafts narratives that are not only visually captivating but also deeply meaningful, inviting viewers to reconsider preconceived notions about beauty and identity. Aphrodesia is a celebration of diversity, featuring women from various backgrounds and walks of life, each sharing their unique stories and perspectives. The magazine serves as a platform for dialogue and introspection, encouraging readers to embrace their individuality and redefine their own notions of strength and beauty. Ines’s work is characterised by bold, vibrant imagery and thoughtful compositions that highlight both the grace and resilience inherent in femininity. Her styling choices often incorporate a mix of contemporary and vintage elements, creating a timeless aesthetic. By representing a diverse group of models and artists, Ines ensures that ‘Aphrodesia’ remains a dynamic and inclusive space, continually evolving to reflect the changing landscape of modern womanhood. Ines Cryer’s dedication to her craft and her commitment to fostering a more inclusive representation of women in media make her a powerful upcoming voice in fashion.
