Isabel Scholes

Isabel Scholes is a south London based photographer and filmmaker who explores topics such as mental health, human connection, and capturing the unseen whether within an environment or in the lives of those around her. Her recent project, “Who Are You When No One is Watching?”, uses visual storytelling and complex sound design to reveal what goes on in people’s lives that often goes unnoticed. The short film explores how memories can become warped by anxiety or sadness, focusing on the feeling of not fitting in and the loneliness that comes from being unable to express oneself.

For the Dreamers — The Documentary, under the project "Where Are We Now?"This documentary follows a character entering her dream world and the dream showcases facts about why we dream and the influences that affect them and the dreamer themselves.

A City of StoriesPart of her intial experimenation with Adobe Photoshop, looking closer at the different people in London, rather than the red cranes or specific building. This was a photo she took of a man walking down the beach by the Thames, seemingly cut off from the world.
