Lara Gilodi-Johnson
Lara Gilodi-Johnson is a visually impaired artist on the Visual Communication Design Pathway. She is an experienced illustrator and character designer, with a particular love for animation and storyboarding. This can be seen throughout her foundation as she has eagerly incorporated animation into her work at any given opportunity, creating storyboarded introduction credits to Wes Anderson's “Fantastic Mr. Fox” and creating a full original animatic for her Final Major Project.
“Pen Pals” — Final Major Project animatic – For the Final Major Project, Gilodi-Johnson made an entirely original animatic exploring how our theme “The Power of Voice” humanises and connects even the most different beings.
Fantastic Mr. Fox — Alternate Intro Credits – This task was to create alternate credits for a film of our choice. Gilodi-Johnson illustrated and animated a storyboard along with the typography, added different music and own sound effects.

Lliad Inspired Tarot cards – Tarot cards designed that combine Gilodi-Johnson's love for animals and classics. Each card and animal is carefully chosen to represent some of the main characters in the Iliad.

Exquisite Corpse Inspired Risograph Print – Illustration created from a game of exquisite corpse. Gilodi-Johnson drew the head and two others drew the body and legs then printed using a risograph printer.

Children's Book Design – Gilodi-Johnson researched Agatha Christie in order to create a sample of a theoretical children's book about her life. She then created three character designs for her, along with a cover, an end page and two double pages — one of which opened out into a triple page spread.
