Maisie Stone
Maisie Stone is a digital fashion designer from East London, who specialises in digital fashion. Due to her skin condition, allergic contact dermatitis, she can not touch certain fabric which led her to go down the digital pathway. Stone has always liked the thought of digital fashion and always thought it was be more fun and playful to work with. For her final collection, “Dermal restraint” she made a mini game where her clothes could be interactive with the world around them.
Stone applied a range of skills to produce a mini game, primarily using Unreal Engine 5. She also incorporated software such as Blender to support the garments within the game, Substance 3D Painter to create realistic fabric textures, and CLO3D for digital garment simulation. Stone is eager to continue exploring the intersection of fashion and gaming, particularly through opportunities to work with major brands like Epic Games on projects such as Fortnite or Marvel Rivals. Gaming has long been a part of her creative vision, influencing her design pathway through the integration of elements like hazmat suits and straitjackets. These pieces not only represent her skin conceptually but also add a game-like atmosphere to her final collection.
