Nikol Neykova

Nikol Neykova is a third-year student from Bulgaria studying for her Bachelor's degree in Interior Design and Environment Architectures at Ravensbourne University London. She has always wanted to improve the world around her, inspired by growing up in a city with Soviet-era brutalist buildings. This early experience led her to rethink how spaces can affect people and support communities.

Nikol is hardworking and positive. She enjoys helping and uplifting those around her. Before studying architecture, she was a professional Bulgarian folk dancer trained in acrobatics and horseback riding. These activities taught her discipline, balance, and creativity, which she now uses in her design work.

Architecture is Nikol's true passion, and she feels deeply connected to it. She has big dreams and a clear vision for using design to help society grow. Her goal is to create spaces that inspire connection and promote well-being, helping to build a better urban future. She believes design can make a difference, and she is just getting started.

Structural organisation and interior perspectivesThe floating exhibition space is constructed with a steel grid and translucent polycarbonate panels. It sits on a styrofoam platform, allowing it to adapt to changing river levels. The building contains three floors. The ground floor includes a reception area, offering a warm welcome for visitors. On the first floor, people can explore panels that display the impressive drawings and models created by Zaha Hadid. The second floor contains a cafe, designed with partition walls for privacy, as well as a kitchen, creating a comfortable space for visitors to relax and enjoy food and beverages. It will change locations each month and will be placed near different piers for people to have more access.
