Rom Janzelle Magpantay Panganiban
Rom Janzelle Magpantay Panganiban is a designer that strives to tackle environmental and societal issues as well as designing with planet and people in mind. Excelling at the conceptual stage of design, he puts in a lot of care and thought through sketching and making. He is a designer that thinks about all possible scenarios and accounts for them in his works.
“A Story Book Journey” is Panganiban's project for the Migration Museum in Croydon. The museum stands as a place to tell the untold stories of people who have migrated to the UK and their journeys. Seen through his graphic style of drawing and complex use of technological software, this museum showcases Panganiban’s artistic abilities, creativity and technical skills.

Tectonic Physical Model at 1:50 – Physical model, shows a section of the south most building of the museum, its materiality and construction.

Southeast Elevation – Elevation, showcases the three buildings and upper level of the museum. They represent a different key aspect the museum would like to focus on — exhibition, projection and multi-function. The upper level connects the three buildings representing the connections made through migration.

First Floor Plan – Floor plan, presents the catwalk level connecting all three buildings. The museum wants to educate people about migration through other means aside from exhibitions and artworks, this floor accommodates these spaces. Featuring a lecture hall, a reading room and restaurant, these spaces will be used to educate people on migration through talks, books and food.

Exploded Axonometric – Axonometric, highlights the different components within the building, from primary structural elements, such as trusses, through to façade envelope and exterior finishes.

Exterior Render – Render, showcases how multi-functional the spaces are. This view shows how the outdoor screen functions, allowing the community to engage with works that are projected onto the exterior of the project.
