Shakir Adam
Shakir Adam is a 3D pre-visualisation artist with a passion for cinematic storytelling, shot composition, and absurdist visual narratives. Originally studying digital publishing and graphic design, he discovered his creative voice through animation. Adam was initially drawn to 2D but was later captivated by the possibilities of 3D previsualisation. His Final Major Project, “Let's Go Nuts“ reflects his playful yet structured approach to storytelling, combining surreal humour with precise visual planning and layout.
Throughout his animation degree, Adam has developed a keen eye for camera movement, timing, and spatial storytelling. He draws inspiration from filmmakers like Wes Anderson and Yorgos Lanthimos and action-comedy stylists such as Edgar Wright, all of whom inform his deadpan tone, sharp pacing, and creative framing. Technically, he has become proficient in Maya, After Effects, and previsualisation editing pipelines.
Professionally, Adam has built a focused portfolio showcasing his strengths in previsualisation and visual direction. His long-term goal is to work in a studio environment on large-scale, collaborative projects in previsualisation or layout.
With a blend of creative risk-taking and cinematic discipline, Adam’s work embodies a strong sense of visual storytelling and a readiness to contribute to the animation and VFX industry.
