Teodoro Allen
Teodoro Allen is an opportunistic character designer, who sees connections in the most minute of similarities between inspirations to create unique designs. He experiments widely with style, mixing media as much as possible due to his enthusiasm with learning new skills, while honing those he likes most. Over the course of his Foundation year, he has grown an appreciation for graphic design, thanks to his introduction to Adobe Illustrator.
Exquisite Chords GIF – For the Final Major Project, Allen designed a game and it's brand identity, involving posters and box art. This involved creating a risograph poster, for which Allen used the multiple variations in prints to make a GIF.
Space Typeface – During the Final Major Project, Allen made a typeface. He wanted it to appear as if they had all been carved out from a rectangle with rounded corners, to make the characters relate to each other so strongly. As a result, some letters were simple to create, like B and I, while others took multiple iterations to get right.
Skeleton Design – This was the concpet art for a skeleton enemy based on the Manananggal, a mythical creature originating from the Philippines. Because the creatures was part of a set of were all based on musical instruments, the part where guts would usually be spilling out instead has a Luntang, an instrument from the same country, of the percussion family.
Sticker Sheet – Allen made this sticker sheet as a kind of interactive, physical version of his game design, with each part of the alien robot's body being a separate sticker, emphasising the modular gimmick of the game.
