Xavier Lee-Hendricks
Xavier Lee-Hendricks is a multidisciplinary artist, apt primarily in graphic, motion and lens-based media. Devoted to the art of storytelling, and mobilising a collective social-cognisance; his works are as much socio-political commentaries, as they are a dive into the philosophical; compelled to explore the many facets — the good, the bad and the ugly — of the human condition.
Lee-Hendricks’s Final Major Project — “post-de” — is a visual investigation into the trivialities of language around post and de-colonisation, in the context of the museum-industrial-complex; questioning our own, even inadvertent, participation in preserving and commodifying the echoes to a bedevilled imperial past.
Lee-Hendricks will be progressing onto BA (Hons) Graphic Communication Design at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London.
